You might remember Megan & Aaron from their adorable engagement session back in April. You can check that out, here, if you want to! These two are some of the absolute sweetest people you could ever meet.
Their ceremony was at their home church, and with Aaron’s dad performing the service, they said I DO! One of my FAVORITE songs was played during the ceremony, and I totally bawled my eyes out behind my camera — ESPECIALLY when Megan started to sing it to Aaron while it played. **swoon!!** Listen to that song, here! (no seriously, go listen to it because its amazeballs).
I was so lucky that Megan & Aaron gave me a really great chunk of time for their portraits, then on top of it let me take them back out for sunset portraits. I was in photographer heaven!! The reception venue, Rivers Edge, is officially one of my favorite venues ever. Not only is it so gorgeous, and literally on the edge of the river, they treated us vendors SO well, which is rare and so appreciated!
Megan & Aaron’s family and friends brought the house down into the night, and I had a blast getting to capture it all!
I don’t usually share reception shots in a blog, but some of these were so fun! I love it when the toasts create a range of emotions for the bride and groom. It definitely gives me some fun shots!
The father daughter dance always makes me teary eyed. I think it makes me realize that one day we’ll be watching Lyla dance with my husband on her wedding day. AAAANNNNNDDDDD I’m crying again. (also, who am I kidding I’m totally doing a mommy daughter dance with her because, WHY is this not a thing!?!?)
At the end of every wedding, I get a picture with my Bride & Groom. With the exception of one or two that we didn’t get a chance to, I’m so happy to have these to look back on. These couples are more than just clients to me. They become friends, and I love rooting them on through all the marriage milestones.
